I think this will be great for the series. It will separate Champ Car from IRL. I love the timed races becuse you will never know who will win. It will keep fans into the action the whole race. The best team might not always win because it could come down to how you manage your fuel. The standing starts will be something to see. I can't wait to see it in cleveland. It will be one for the record book. It will be intersting in 2007 & I CAN'T WAIT

tough to argue with that, isn't it? If you have a problem with the rules and what is expected of the series in 2007, take a step back and read what Scott wrote. It may be the best comment I have ever recieved.
Scott made a quick, but very valid point on timed races. It kind of does throw out the old guard out the window and gives a lot more teams an opportunity to compete for top spot. A driver can dominate the race, but if it comes down to a few minutes and he/she has to make a pitstop, then that potentially screws them up. Anyway, so many different scenarios will be played out, its going to be great to see.
A lot of people over at the forums are mad about the mininum weight requirement that has been announced. Frankly, i'm baffled by the complaints. I mean, yes, the car was introduced as being lighter in its initial unveiling. Now, after multiple tests, they have concluded the safest and best minimun weight for the car/driver/team. So what if its the same as last year?? I really don't see what the big deal is? its not going to affect ANYTHING in terms of viewing the sport. you won't see one shred of difference. The new chassis is still faster and slicker and safer than anything this sport has seen. So what if it weighs the same thing? As long as there IS a weight minimum, then I am happy. I'd be ticked off if there wasn't.

That Stoddart sure knows how to play the game. Team Minardi USA. Does Nelson really want to leave that outfit now? I mean, this team just got better right away. this team just got a lot better right away. Welcome to the party Mr. Stoddart. You'll find things a little different around here.

If I don't write before, happy holidays everybody and thanks for your continued support!!!!
