interesting read by Mr. Robin Miller on driver salaries and their worth. I'm always interested in those types of numbers and I had no idea that Ralf Shumacher made 25 million dollars to do nothing. amazing what a last name can do for you. Just ask Paris Hilton.

He overhyped Danica's accomplishments in my opinion. Obviously not in her worth to the series, he's right, she's priceless in the exposure she brought that series. But hyping a couple of poles and a lucky fourth place finish is a little much. I'd be curious to find out what her teammate Vitor's salary was.

Bourdais is obviously well worth the investment as is Tracy, but I am curious to see what the younger guys make. Or Tagliani for that matter.

I don't like Hunter Reay testing for AGR, but the man needs to find a ride somewhere and why not jump at the Indy 500 winning seat? If nobody in ChampCar offers him anything, he may as well go. I hate to see it, I hate to see an American go to that series, let alone Ryan. but he needs to eat, so to speak. It surprises me a little, especially afte the fan Forum in Montreal where he didn't have many good things to say about that injury-plagued league. but, money talks. Still, after his hard hit in Milwaukee, the very fact that he would look at that league is surprising. But it also goes to show you how crazy these guys really are. I mean that in a good way, FYI. No matter the risk, the danger, they are racecar drivers and if it goes fast against a plethora of other cars, then they go all out! These guys are a different breed from you and me. You can't keep a racecar driver out of a racecar. Just ask Alex Zanardi.

I miss Alex Zanardi in the champcar paddock. its funny because prior to his accident, he wasn't having a particularly good season and was frustrated more often than pleased. But he was still such a gentlemen. Always looking out for everybody in his surroundings and always making sure that you (as a reporter, for example) always got everything you needed before you parted ways with him. Not a lot of drivers are like that. not many people will ever be like him.
