congratulations to Oriol Servia for landing that coveted seat at PKV. I can't believe the number of people who were saught, who tested, who made it public that the seat was theirs. I have to admit, the announcement of Oriol shocked me a little. Maybe because I was totally not expecting it. I'll admit that at first I was a little disappointed. Probably because I believed that Oriol would stay with N/H in a third car and a new driver would fill the seat at PKV. I'm a big supporter of car count! Having said that, I am also all for continuity and if N/H couldn't get Oriol in a car, then at least he remains in the series. Its hard to believe, but Oriol can now be considered a wily veteran and is definitely a name-brand in this series. Not to mention he's the smartest and without a doubt, one of the nicest drivers you'll ever meet. It'll be interesting to see how he fits in at PKV. No doubt his intelligence and intuition will be a big help to the young team. He'll also get a lot of attention being teamed with Katherine and a better spokesperson for the series, I can't think of one.
On the other side, if I read the internet reports, Tagliani may be out at Walker for an Australian driver, making it truly a Team Australia. Don't hate me here folks, but I think this is a very good idea. Not so much the fact that its not Tagliani, but an all australian team is great! I like themes, and although I don't want the series to turn into a "world cup" series, one or two country-based team is not a bad thing. Imagine the reception they are going to get at Surfer's Paradise! It'll be like Team Players when they raced in Canada! It was great and HUGE! I hope Alex lands on his feet. I also hope that they go ahead and form Team Australia!

I often speak of Ryan Hunter-Reay and I continue to hope that he lands a ride. Someone get this guy in a car!

The Turbo Tour comes roaring into Toronto tomorrow. I hope I can check it out, but my schedule may not permit me. Having said that, it would be great to stop by and see everybody.
oh, they want me to work it, not as a guest!
