My 2006 wish list for the Champ Car World Series

1) obviously, a safe season for all the drivers, crew and personnel
2) someone put a fork in the IRL for good. This is getting tiresome.
3) That Andrew Ranger can be more consistent and really show off his skills. He’s still just a kid and was plagued with some misfortune last year, but he’s the real deal and could factor for a top 5 placement
4) That someone get that horshoe out of Seabass’ ass! The guy is the fastest driver on the planet right now, no question about it. He’s also the luckiest.
5) That reporters decide to withhold their “story” until whatever they speculate can be confirmed instead of the usual “I heard this” and such. Then again, I guess this wish goes much beyond just the world of auto racing.
6) That Mario Dominguez finally be named “Mexico’s sexiest athlete of 2006”. Why? I have no idea. I just think he’d like that.
7) That 40 thousand people show up at Road America on race day
8) That the Face of Champ Car finally acknowledges my presence and, for some weird reason, thinks it would be cool to hang out with the ‘Voice’ of Champ Car. (you know, face and voice? Makes sense, doesn’t it?)
9) That the Montreal promoters don’t deny Montrealers the opportunity to attend the race like they did in 2005
10) Three more American drivers are added to the series. I know the forums and chatrooms have talked about this a lot and I truly believe it’s important. I know we are a ‘world’ series, but we still race predominantly in the States. If we raced 90 percent of the time in Sweden, wouldn’t it make sense to have more Swedish drivers? I say this because the talent is out there. There is no shortage of great American drivers right now.
11) That Jimmy give it one more year.
12) That Ryan Hunter-Reay find a seat
13) That I don’t accidentally call it the “Molson Indy Toronto” at least 18 times during that race weekend.
