i've been politely asked by someone who has recently recieved surgery and has been bedridden or at least home ridden for a while to update my blog in order to give them something to read. Also make movie suggestions. I won't make movie suggestions, since the last movie I saw was the Skeleton Key and although it wasn't that bad, it wasn't particularly engaging either. Most of my reccomendations would veer towards the original batman and the new one. Other than those two movies, I can't really help. But if anybody else has any suggestions, by all means share.

oh, the quiet time in the off-season where we have to wait and wait for news to come up and if it doesn't, then we just make stuff up! Well, not this year. Not with the news of Road America coming back to the ChampCar World Series. What great news, especially for the drivers. The fans love this track, and its great that the ChampCar World Series listened to them and brought it back on the circuit. But the drivers are the most excited one's around, no question about it. This would even entice a few drivers to return or debut in the ChampCar World Series. This track is what driving a racecar is all about. I can only hope that the event draws well at the gates. There's no question that the amigos expect to take it on the chin with this one, otherwise it would have never left the schedule in the first place. but if it can draw decent numbers at the gate, then it will open some eyes and turn some heads. People wanted this race back, and they got it. Now its time to show up for it. I would say that if anybody out there is planning on attending just one race next year that's away from their hometrack, make it Road America. Stay in Green Bay, stay in Chicago, stay in Milwaukee if you have too. But come to this track. Bring the kids. its a great track for the kids who are used to seeing the modern racecars race around urban centers. I love those too, but teack the kids a little history by taking them to a ChampCar race at Road America. What could be more historical and educational than that?

I can't say I am happy about losing LV for obvious reasons. I really like the LVMS, I really like Las Vegas and I liked partnering up with the trucks. yes, many people think the trucks are beneath the prestige of the ChampCars, but they ain't. Its the kind of exposure that Champcar needs to continue to do. hopefully they can team up somewhere else down the road.

alright, I have to get back to work. Yes, I have a part time gig in the winters. As for ChampCar, nothing has been finalized yet for 2006, but I anticipate a return to the series that has been my breadmaker for the last 5 years.
