If Becky Gordon is a correspondent for Champ Car Garage, does that mean we have access to her brother Robby? That would be cool, but we would have to get our ‘beep’ sensor out and ready. I love live television for that reason! I love the apology the announcers had to give to the viewers for Robby’s comments. I can’t believe he threw his helmet, but also can’t believe he tried to wreck the 15’s day by trying to back into him! The weird part is that it would have been the second time a driver intentionally took another driver out as a result of a collision. The kids! Kahne taking out the younger Bucsh! I couldn’t believe it when I saw that!! That entire race shocked me really. The kids can’t look at the vets to learn proper behavior when you have Gordon tossing his helmet right at Waltrip.
Obviously, NASCAR loves this and this is what makes NASCAR the 2nd most popular sport in America. But they do (at least to the announcers) try their best to keep the drivers in line. ‘behavior time-out’ is what NASCAR officials assessed to all the drivers with threats of suspension down the road. The league does try. You have to give them credit. Hey, it worked, the boys cleaned it up and Ryan Newman won a damn good race. Good for him, nice to see him at the top of the leaderboard in a session other than qualifying.
The officials will be busy this week handing out slaps on many drivers wrists. Good show though and when up against the NFL, its pretty much the kind of race they could hope for as they begin the Chase races.

We know who got the looks in the Gordon family.
